Job summary

Health New Zealand Waitematā seeks a qualified Cardiac Physiologist with 1–2 years’ experience to join the Cardiology Service. You will perform Holter scanning/reporting, ECGs, and assist in cardiac catheterisation procedures including Angio and PCI.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1–2 years experience as a Cardiac Physiologist.
• Must be a member of The Society of Cardiopulmonary Technology (SCT) and registered with CPRB.
• Current Annual Practising Certificate required.

Responsibilities

• Perform Holter scanning/reporting and ECG tests to high accuracy.
• Assist cardiac catheterisation procedures (Angio, PCI, right heart studies).
• Support cardiac device implants and manage device clinics and remote monitoring.
• Maintain documentation and contribute to multidisciplinary team activities.

About the Role

The Cardiology Service at Health New Zealand Waitematā are seeking a qualified Cardiac Physiologist with a minimum of 1-2 years experience to join our team. As a Cardiac Physiologist, you will be involved in procedures such as Holter scanning/reporting, cardiac catherisation procedures (Angio, PCI, right heart studies). We also fully support all cardiac device implants and manage cardiac device clinics and remote monitoring.

Our team of Cardiac Technicians perform most of the following tests ECGs, Holter, ABU and Event monitor fitting, Exercise Treadmill Tests (ETTs) and Spirometry. However sometimes physiologists need to support these to.

You will be responsible for performing the above tests to a very high standard of accuracy and maintaining good documentation.
