Please note: This is a fixed-term, part-time role working 10 hours a week (2x 5 hour days).

About the role:

The Capstone Project Supervisormentorspostgraduate students undertaking their research or applied industry project over a 15-week duration. The supervisorprovidesstructured academic guidance, ensures scholarly standards, and supports students in achievingLevel-9learning outcomes through independent research, analysis, and professional application.

In this role, you will be assigned 10 students and will be expected to mentor them individually on a weekly basis. We currently have scheduled capstone engagement sessions on Mondays and Tuesdays, but supervisors may arrange meetings flexibly based on mutual availability with their students.

Key Responsibilities are (but not limited to):

Supervisepostgraduate students, providing weekly structured academic guidance and support.

Lead project planning, scope definition, milestone tracking, and overall research progress.

Support students in research design, literature review, methodology, data analysis, and academic writing.

Provide timely, constructive feedback on drafts, reports, presentations, and assessments to ensure postgraduate standards.

Monitor progress, identify academic risks, and intervene with additional support where needed.

Ensure compliance with academic integrity, ethical research practice, and inclusive supervision, liaising with industry partners where applicable.

Required Skills/Experience:

• PhD inBusiness Informatics, Management, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related discipline(essential)
• Prior postgraduate supervision, mentoring, or research guidance experience
• Experience in applied research, consulting, or industry projects
• Familiarity with research methodologies and academic writing
• Strong mentoring and coaching ability
