Job summary

Aotearoa New Zealand Association of Social Workers is seeking a Candidate Coordinator to join our team in a fast‑paced, people‑focused environment. You’ll pair great people with great jobs, build lasting relationships, and support candidates from first contact through placement.

You’ll juggle multiple tasks daily, sourcing candidates on Seek and LinkedIn, screening by phone, and coordinating interviews with clients. A friendly, proactive, people‑centred mindset is essential.

Qualifications

• At least 6 months in recruitment or talent acquisition (agency experience preferred).
• At least 2 years in sales or admin, so you’re organised and great with people.
• Warm, friendly vibe and you’re happy chatting to anyone.
• Great communication skills, whether on the phone, face to face or email.

Responsibilities

• Head hunting candidates on Seek, LinkedIn, job platforms, and through networks.
• Keep a pool of talent warm for current and upcoming roles.
• Phone screens to assess skills and motivations.
• Interview for live roles and networking.

If you said yes four times, we should talk! We're looking for a Candidate Coordinator to join our team. You'll be pairing great people with great jobs, building relationships that last, and keeping up with a busy, buzzing team (fuelled by plenty of flat whites).

The Role

You’ll be a candidate’s biggest fan. You’ll get to know people properly, match them with our amazing clients and roles they’ll love, and cheer them on from the first phone call to well after they’ve started. No two days are the same, so you’ll need to love juggling a few things at once. Here’s what your week looks like:

• Head Hunting great people on Seek, LinkedIn, Job Platforms, our network and through your own networks
• Keeping a pool of awesome talent warm and ready to go, for the roles we’ve got now and the ones coming up
• Phone screens where you dig into skills, motivations and what makes someone tick
• Interviewing for live roles and for good old‑fashioned networking
• Prepping candidates for client interviews and keeping them in the loop
• Looking after our candidates and post‑placement care, with check‑ins and coffee visits to make sure all is going well
• Keeping our ATS tidy (we promise it’s more satisfying than it sounds)
• The admin bits, including pre‑employment checks

About You

You’re probably a great fit if you’ve got:

• At least 6 months in recruitment or talent acquisition (agency experience preferred)
