Job summary

New Zealand Management Academies (NZMA) is Auckland's leading private training establishment offering vocational courses across multiple programmes. The Hospitality Operations Coordinator role focuses on managing the campus Café, coordinating events, and delivering industry-relevant training to build student capability.

You will provide practical coaching to students, maintain high food safety standards, and collaborate with the Campus Manager to grow the NZMA campus.

Qualifications

• Hands-on hospitality and cooking experience.
• Strong organisational and time management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Ability to multitask and prioritise tasks.
• Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of hospitality industry best practices.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operations of the Campus Café.
• Prepare, cook, and present food to high standards.
• Coordinate campus events and functions schedule.
• Provide practical assessment and teaching support to the academic team.
• Support students through coaching and mentoring.
• Uphold the organisation's values and maintain safety standards.
