Job summary

Arvida Group in New Zealand is seeking an experienced cafe assistant to ensure the smooth operation of Shores Kitchen, delivering excellent front-of-house service, baking and food preparation, and maintaining health and safety standards across shifts.

You will enjoy a high-end cafe environment, interact with residents daily, and contribute to the organisation's Eating Well philosophy while meeting the responsibilities listed.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a commercial kitchen and/or cafe.
• Exceptional cooking and baking skills.
• Excellent food hygiene practices and a commitment to safe working practices.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Flexibility, adaptability and able to work well under pressure with good time management.
• Empathy towards older adults, good interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Honesty, reliability, and integrity.
• Current NZ Food Safety Certificate.

Mō te tūranga | About the opportunity

Duties are varied, active, and stimulating with lots of personal interaction. You will ensure the smooth and efficient running of the Cafe service, maintain compliance with our Food Control Plan.You will thrive in a beautiful high end cafe environment, and enjoy enriching the lives of our residents. You'll also be responsible for:
