Job summary

Kitchen Experts NZ, based in Auckland, is seeking a skilled Cabinet Maker for full-time, on-site joinery. You will manufacture and assemble custom cabinets, benchtops, wardrobes, and related joinery, reading plans and ensuring precise finishes.

You will work with designers and installers, uphold safety standards, and contribute to efficient production and continuous improvement of fabrication processes in a busy workshop.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Carpentry and Cabinetry with proven joinery experience.
• Proficiency in Millwork and Woodworking with safe use of machinery and tools.
• Ability in Spatial Design: reading plans and translating designs into builds.
• Attention to detail, craftsmanship, and accurate measurements.
• Experience in a workshop/manufacturing environment with safety procedures and tool maintenance.
• Good communication and collaboration with designers, installers, and team members.
• Physical ability for manual tasks including lifting and standing for long periods.
• Trade qualification or apprenticeship in cabinetry, carpentry, or joinery preferred.

Responsibilities

Role Description

This full-time, on-site Cabinet Maker role is based in Auckland and involves manufacturing and assembling custom cabinets, benchtops, wardrobes, and related joinery. Day-to-day tasks include reading and interpreting technical drawings, measuring and cutting materials, operating woodworking machinery and hand tools, and assembling and finishing cabinetry to specified standards. The role also includes collaborating with designers and installers, ensuring products meet quality and safety requirements, and maintaining a clean, organized workshop. The Cabinet Maker will support efficient production schedules and contribute to continuous improvement of fabrication processes.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Carpentry and Cabinetry, with proven experience in building and assembling custom joinery.
• Proficiency in Millwork and Woodworking, including safe use of machinery, power tools, and hand tools.
