Foodstuffs NZ’s Pak’nSave Rangiora is seeking a trade-qualified Butcher to lead the busy Butchery Department in a fast-paced supermarket. You will oversee day-to-day operations, cut and prepare meat, and coach a skilled team to deliver quality and value to the local community.

This leadership role focuses on sales, gross profit, wage budgets, and strict food safety and health & safety standards. You’ll drive product range improvements and maintain high department standards, while delivering

Qualifications

• Trade-qualified butcher with at least three years management experience.
• Strong knowledge of meat cuts, processing and quality standards.
• Understanding of inventory systems and gross profit drivers.

Responsibilities

• Inspire, lead, train, and motivate butchers and apprentices.
• Manage sales, gross profit, and wage budgets.
• Ensure food safety and health & safety compliance at the highest standard.
• Oversee cutting, preparation, presentation, and value-added products.
• Deliver excellent customer service and maintain high department standards.
