We’re looking for a trade-qualified Butcher with proven leadership experience to take charge of our Butchery Department and deliver excellence every day.
This is a leadership role in a high performing supermarket environment where you’ll have the autonomy to run your department like your own business, supported by a strong and experienced management team.

As Butchery Manager, you will oversee all day-to-day operations. This includes delivering the highest quality at the best prices to our community, leading and developing a skilled team, managing sales and gross profit, keeping wage budgets on track, and ensuring compliance with all food safety and health & safety requirements. You’ll also be responsible for cutting, preparation, and presentation standards, along with driving improvements in product range and merchandising to keep the department fresh, appealing, and competitive.
You’ll be a trade-qualified Butcher with at least three years management experience. You’ll have a proven ability to lead and inspire a team, a strong knowledge of meat cuts, processing and quality standards. Excellent organisational and time-management skills are essential, along with an understanding of inventory systems and gross profit drivers (SAP experience is a bonus). Above all, you’ll bring a calm, positive attitude to a fast-paced retail environment and a strong commitment to safety and compliance.
Full-time, 45 hours per week. Specific working days and hours will be determined during the interview process.
