Job summary

Foodstuffs North Island is seeking a field-based Butchery Leader who will partner with Butchery Managers and Store Owners across 35-40 PAK''nSAVE and New World Stores. You will lift knowledge, improve category performance, and drive operational excellence through coaching and data-driven insights.

You will travel frequently within Waikato, Coromandel, and broader North Island, with time split between office planning and store visits.

Qualifications

• Strong butchery leadership experience in a retail environment.
• Solid understanding of meat cuts, yields, waste control, and production planning.
• Data-driven mindset with ability to use insights to influence outcomes.
• Experience using SAP or similar systems in a retail environment.
• Exceptional people and coaching skills – ability to influence, challenge, and inspire.

Responsibilities

• Coach and mentor store teams to lift capability and performance.
• Analyse store & category data to identify opportunities and drive improvements.
• Build strong, credible relationships with department managers and owner/operators.
• Implement best practices in butchery operations, production, and food safety.
