Job summary

Foodstuffs North Island Limited is seeking a Category Assistant, Butchery, to join the Merchandise team supporting PAK’nSAVE, New World and Four Square. You will manage product administration, price changes and promotions, respond to store queries and liaise with suppliers, members and the wider team to maintain an accurate, customer-focused category.

You will be highly organised, detail-oriented and adept at balancing multiple priorities in a fast-moving retail environment, with a strong focus

Qualifications

• Excellent organisation, communication and stakeholder relationship skills.
• Strong analytical ability, attention to detail and process improvement mindset.
• Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills, including VLOOKUP.
• Initiative, resilience and adaptability in changing environments.
• Experience in grocery, FMCG or retail is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Manage product administration, including article creation, new lines, deletions and product changes.
• Support price changes, track competitor activity and maintain pricing records.
• Coordinate promotional activity, including pricing and store communications.
• Complete post-promotion analyses to inform decisions.
• Respond to store queries and support the wider team to deliver a customer-led offer.
