Qualifications

• Professional butcher with demonstrable experience.
• Knowledge of meat cuts, preparation, and carcass breakdown.
• Strong knife handling and meat preparation skills.
• Supervisory or leadership experience is advantageous.
• Ability to demonstrate genuine and verifiable work experience.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Reliable, punctual, and responsible attitude.
• Willingness to work Tuesday to Saturday.

Responsibilities

• Support the day-to-day running of the butchery department.
• Apply professional butchery skills across cutting, preparation, carcass breakdown, and packing.
• Maintain consistent product quality and presentation standards.
• Support team members with training, supervision, and daily workflow.
• Assist with staff rostering and departmental coordination.
• Monitor stock levels, rotation, ordering and product wastage.
• Follow and promote food safety, hygiene, and workplace safety procedures.
• Provide knowledgeable and professional service to customers.
• Keep work areas clean, organized and production-ready.
• Work closely with the Butchery Manager to maintain efficient daily operations.
