About Blue Pacific Minerals
Blue Pacific Minerals (BPM) is a Tokoroa-based specialty minerals and plant nutrition company. Our story starts underground at Ngakuru, in the Taupō Volcanic Zone, we mine one of the world’s few commercial deposits of mordenite zeolite, a rare, highly porous mineral that holds water and nutrients, exchanges ions with the soil and releases them to the plant over time.
From our 10,500 m² Tokoroa site we process that mineral into graded zeolites, nutrient-loaded zeolites and animal health products exporting to the world. In the last two years we have added New Zealand’s only facility manufacturing UAN liquid fertilisers from raw ingredients, a new blending and bagging line for high‑value loaded products, and an in‑house laboratory and innovation centre that opens later this year. It adds up to a business that is growing strongly, investing ahead of demand, and building a product platform that combines mineral, liquid nutrition and biology in a way no other New Zealand supplier can.
Our Plant, Soil & Turf category supplies liquid fertilisers and foliar nutrition, trace elements, zeolite soil amendments and biological and biostimulant products to pasture and cropping farmers, backed by some international brands. Our aim is simple: help farmers grow more dry matter and more crop per dollar of input, with less nitrogen lost to the environment.
The role
We are establishing a South Island presence for the Plant, Soil & Turf category and this role is it. Reporting to the General Manager – Sales, you will build the territory from the ground up: growing sales of our liquid nutrition, soil amendment and biological programmes into pasture and crop farming, developing rural retail and independent reseller relationships, and working alongside farmers and their advisers to put our programmes to work on‑farm.
You will be home-based in the South Island and on the road a good deal of the time – on farms, with resellers and at field days across the island, with periodic travel to Tokoroa and to industry events.
Applications close Monday 21st of September.
Applicants must have the right to live and work in New Zealand.
