Job summary

RYHR is seeking a Business Development Manager to lead growth across New Zealand, based in Tauranga. You will work with Territory Managers to expand our presence and build deep, long-lasting client relationships.

The role involves hands-on field work with travel about two weeks each month to engage clients, understand their equipment needs, and deliver value on the ground. You don’t need a background in tyres or materials handling if you bring drive, commercial sense, and strong people skills.

We are now looking for a Business Development Manager to join our National team, a motivated go getter who can drive growth in our materials handling equipment side of the business while building long-term, trusted relationships across the country.

The Role

Working alongside a team of driven Territory Managers and BDMs, you will take ownership of growing our presence nationwide. You’ll inherit a strong, comprehensive customer base, but there is plenty of room to build deeper connections, uncover new business, and expand our presence.

This is a hands-on, high-impact position operating out of Tauranga, with an average of two weeks travel per month to get face-to-face with clients, understand their machinery and operational needs, and deliver practical value on the ground.

About You

We are looking for a natural relationship builder and a go-getter who knows how to turn opportunities into long-term business. You don't necessarily need a background in materials handling or industrial tyres as we will provide full technical product support, what matters most is your drive, commercial instinct, and ability to connect with people.

You’re someone who enjoys the rhythm of being out in the field and staying close to your customer base. You know how to listen to operational needs, earn trust, and deliver solutions that keep your customers happy.
