Job summary

Tauranga City Council is recruiting for Building Consent Processing to support growth and ensure safe, compliant buildings in the city. The role offers a supportive Building Services team, training, and a pathway toward processing competency as you develop design and consent knowledge.

You’ll learn from experienced professionals, work with consent applications and construction drawings, and grow a long-term career in building consent processing through practical learning and a customer-focused

Qualifications

• Regulation 18 qualification under the Building Regulations.
• Qualification in architectural design, building design, construction, or a similar area.
• Experience with building consent applications, design drawings, consent plans.
• Interest in Building Act and Building Code.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to interpret technical information.
• Practical, customer-focused approach and clear communication.
• Genuine passion for developing a career in building consent processing.
