Job summary

WSP Napier is seeking a Bridge & Civil Structures Engineer to join the construction management team in Hawke's Bay. You will help deliver bridge and civil infrastructure projects, supporting procurement, contract administration, and project delivery.

Strong communication with clients and stakeholders is essential. The role requires a Civil Engineering degree and at least five years of contract/construction management experience on bridge projects, plus familiarity with NZS391X.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or closely related discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years' professional experience in contract and construction management within bridge and civil structures projects.
• Experience as Engineer's Representative Assistant or Contract Administrator Assistant with NZS391X contracts.
• Experience preparing contract documentation and supporting contract delivery.
• Excellent communication skills engaging a wide range of stakeholders.
• Collaborative, solutions-focused and client-centric approach.
• A full, clean driver's licence.

Responsibilities

• Support the delivery of bridge and civil structures infrastructure projects during procurement and construction phases.
• Assist with contract administration and Engineer's Representative responsibilities.
• Prepare tender, procurement, and contract documentation.
• Support project planning, programme management, budgeting, and reporting.
• Prepare project briefs, offers of service, and fee estimates.
• Build strong relationships with clients, contractors, and project stakeholders.
• Contribute to business development and team growth initiatives.
