Job summary

Lion Pty Ltd seeks a Brewing Shift Team Leader to oversee The Pride operations, combining brewing know-how with people leadership to ensure safe, reliable, and right-first-time production. You’ll guide a six-person team, address process issues, and support improvement initiatives.

We value collaboration, strong problem solving, and a proactive mindset. The role includes alternating shifts (2pm–10pm and 10pm–6am) with a shift allowance and onsite opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Brewing qualification or equivalent training.
  • Experience leading manufacturing teams.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coach a team of six across the shift.
  • Support brewing and beverage problem solving to build team capability.
  • Deliver production plan with focus on safety, quality, reliability, cost and waste.
  • Drive TPM, continuous improvement and optimization of processes.

The Role

Lead a Brewing & Beverage shift team at The Pride, combining brewing knowledge with people leadership to build capability and deliver safe, reliable and right-first-time production.

  • Lead and coach a team of six, building technical depth, accountability and confidence across the shift
  • Support technical brewing and beverage problem solving, helping the team work through process issues and breakdowns and build capability to solve problems independently
  • Deliver the production plan with a strong focus on safety, quality, reliability, cost and waste
  • Drive TPM, continuous improvement and optimisation to strengthen processes and operational performance
  • Build trusted relationships across shifts and functions, creating a team-first culture where people support each other to deliver shared outcomes
  • Support operational projects and improvement initiatives
  • Ensure timely and accurate SAP data entry, with a focus on quality and cost accuracy

This role will work an alternating shift pattern of 2pm - 10pm for two weeks and 10pm - 6am for two weeks (a shift allownace will be provided)

About You
  • You’re a collaborative leader who enjoys developing people, solving problems and working as part of a team
  • Technical brewing knowledge, supported by a brewing qualification or equivalent training and experience
  • Experience leading and coaching teams in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to take ownership and use sound judgement
  • Clear communication and enjoy building trusted relationships
  • Learning agility, initiative and a team-first approach
