Qualifications

• 5+ years in a management role with operational leadership in civil/roading or related industry.
• Strong financial and commercial acumen including budgeting, contract administration, risk management and procurement.
• A relevant qualification such as an engineering degree, NZCE or equivalent, plus a current Class 1 license.
• Proven ability to lead and develop teams, make sound decisions under pressure, and build strong stakeholder relationships.

Job description

We're looking for a Branch Manager, located in Kaitaia to lead our Far North branch and keep good work moving. Reporting to the Regional Manager, you'll lead around 60 people and oversee a branch with an operating budget of up to $30m.

This is a big role with real impact. You'll be responsible for branch operations across civil and roading activities, making sure work is delivered safely, on time, within budget and to a high standard. You'll shape the plan, back your team, build strong client and community relationships, and help the branch perform now and grow into the future.

Key role responsibilities

We're looking for someone with

• At least 5 years' experience in a management role, with strong operational leadership experience in civil, roading or a related industry.
• Strong financial and commercial acumen, including experience with business planning, contract administration, risk management and procurement.
• A relevant qualification such as an engineering degree, NZCE or equivalent, plus a current Class 1 license.
• Proven ability to lead and develop teams, make sound decisions under pressure, and build strong working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
