We’re looking for a Branch Manager, located in Kaitaia to lead our Far North branch and keep good work moving. Reporting to the Regional Manager, you’ll lead around 60 people and oversee a branch with an operating budget of up to $30m.
This is a big role with real impact. You’ll be responsible for branch operations across civil and roading activities, making sure work is delivered safely, on time, within budget and to a high standard. You’ll shape the plan, back your team, build strong client and community relationships, and help the branch perform now and grow into the future.
At Fulton Hogan, our values drive everything we do: Respect, Energy & Effort, Attitude and Leadership. We’re serious about the work, but not ourselves. That means high expectations, low ego, and a team that backs each other to do good work every day.
Lead all branch operations to deliver safe, efficient and profitable civil and roading work.
Translate regional strategy into a clear branch plan, manage budgets and resources, and keep performance on track across safety, quality, productivity, margin and customer outcomes.
Build a strong, capable team through clear expectations, coaching, development and accountable leadership.
Grow and protect key relationships with clients, iwi, communities, suppliers and delivery partners, while supporting tendering and work-winning activity.
Champion a culture where safety, quality, environmental responsibility and continuous improvement are part of how the branch works every day.
At least 5 years’ experience in a management role, with strong operational leadership experience in civil, roading or a related industry.
Strong financial and commercial acumen, including experience with business planning, contract administration, risk management and procurement.
A relevant qualification such as an engineering degree, NZCE or equivalent, plus a current Class 1 license.
Proven ability to lead and develop teams, make sound decisions under pressure, and build strong working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
A practical, proactive and values-led approach, with a strong focus on safety, accountability, communication and doing right by people.
At Fulton Hogan, we genuinely care about the wellbeing of our people and giving them the tools and opportunities they need to succeed and grow with us. You’ll have access to:
Medical insurance and Life insurance after the eligibility period.
KiwiSaver employer contributions after service milestones, up to 7%.
Parental leave top up payment with additional return to work support.
Ongoing training and development, with clear career growth and progression opportunities.
Great discounts at a wide range of retailers.
At Fulton Hogan, good work is more than what we deliver. It’s how we show up, how we treat each other, and how we move forward together.
If you want a role where you can lead from the front, build a strong branch culture, and make a genuine difference in your region, this is one worth a closer look.
If you’re ready to lead a branch, back your people and deliver good work in the Far North, we’d love to hear from you.
