Macmahon New Zealand is seeking experienced Boilermaker Welders to join the Snowy River Gold Mine Project near Reefton on New Zealand's South Island. In this hands-on role, you'll fabricate, repair and maintain a range of metal components for an underground mining fleet.

You'll work with a skilled maintenance team, performing MIG/TIG/Stick welding, gouging and cutting, while interpreting drawings and ensuring safety, quality and reliability of equipment.

Formación

• Trade qualification Cert III or equivalent recognised in NZ/Australia.
• Experience maintaining and repairing underground mining equipment, preferably Sandvik fleets.
• Experience performing onsite repairs including bucket, tray body and structural rebuilds.
• Competent in MIG, TIG and Stick welding, air arc gouging, cutting and lancing with relevant certifications.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and work plans.
• Strong safety focus and teamwork.
• Experience with maintenance management and reporting systems.
• Valid NZ Class 1 or AU Class C driver’s licence (unrestricted).

About the Role

Macmahon New Zealand is seeking experienced Boilermaker Welders to join our team at the Snowy River Gold Mine Project near Reefton on New Zealand's South Island.

In this hands-on role, you'll carry out fabrication, maintenance and repair work on a modern underground mining fleet, including newly commissioned equipment. Working alongside a skilled and supportive maintenance team, you'll play a key role in maintaining equipment reliability while further developing your trade skills in a dynamic underground mining environment.

What You'll Bring

• Australian or New Zealand recognised Trade Qualification (Cert III or equivalent)
• Proven experience maintaining and repairing underground mining equipment, preferably Sandvik fleets.
• Experience performing onsite repairs, including bucket, tray body and structural rebuilds.
• Competency in MIG, TIG and Stick welding, air arc gouging, cutting and lancing, supported by relevant welding certifications.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications and work plans.
• Strong focus on safety, quality workmanship and teamwork.
• Experience using maintenance management and reporting systems.
• Valid unrestricted manual New Zealand Class 1 or Australian C Class Driver's Licence (essential).
