Job summary

Macmahon New Zealand is seeking experienced Boilermaker Welders to join the Snowy River Gold Mine Project near Reefton on New Zealand’s South Island. You will fabricate, repair and maintain underground mining equipment, working with a skilled team to keep assets reliable and safe.

The role requires a recognised trade qualification (Cert III or equivalent) and experience with MIG, TIG and Stick welding. A NZ Class 1 or AU C Class Driver’s Licence is essential, and the roster is 7:7 local with

Qualifications

• Underground mining equipment maintenance experience.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and work plans.
• Competent with MIG, TIG and Stick welding and related certifications.
• NZ Class 1 or AU C Class Driver's Licence (unrestricted).

Responsibilities

• Fabricate, repair and rebuild metal components and structures.
• Complete welding, gouging, cutting and related fabrication tasks to a high standard.
• Conduct weekly bucket and blade condition inspections and reporting.
• Interpret engineering drawings and work plans to complete repairs and modifications.
• Source materials required for fabrication and repair activities.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and reports.
• Assist with general workshop and site duties as required.
