Job summary

Scenic Hotel Group – Auckland is hiring a Bartender for Legacy Airedale Hotel Auckland on a part-time, permanent basis. You will work minimum 20-25 hours weekly, on a rotating roster, at 380 Queen Street, Auckland CBD, with wages of $28-$30 per hour.

You will serve cocktails and beverages, help with bar setup, and assist with guest questions while maintaining service standards and a clean, well-stocked bar area.

Qualifications

• Minimum 12 months experience in a similar bartender role.
• Knowledge of cocktails, wines, beers and spirits.
• Passion for creating innovative cocktails.
• Experience promoting our food and beverage offerings.
• An LCQ qualification and a relevant tertiary qualification in hospitality would be an advantage.
• Excellent verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service with personality and flair.
• Shake, stir and serve cocktails, along with wine, beer, spirits, and other beverages.
• Assist with bar setup and pack down, including restocking fridges and rotating stock.
• Recommend drinks and menu items and confidently answer guest questions about our food and beverage offerings.
• Keep the bar and dining areas clean, organised, well-stocked and ready for service.
• Collecting payments from sales and operating the point of sale system and cash register.
• Follow responsible service of alcohol, food safety and hotel procedures.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff, and other team members to ensure seamless service and efficient operations.
• Assist with additional duties reasonably required by the Restaurant Manager, or Hotel Manager.
