Job summary

New World Te Kauwhata, part of Foodstuffs North Island, is seeking two motivated Barista/Checkout Assistants to deliver quality service from store to door. You will work as a Barista and Checkout Assistant, with full training provided.

Two full-time positions are available with rotating schedules: 7am–3pm, Sunday–Tuesday and 7am–3pm, Wednesday–Saturday. Strong English, excellent customer service and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 12 months of barista experience.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Fluent in English with strong interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to perform both barista and checkout duties.
• Commitment to safety, cleanliness and hygiene.

Responsibilities

• Take orders and process payments on the POS.
• Maintain cabinet presentation and stock levels throughout the day.
• Open and close the fresh area and perform cleaning as required.
• Assist with checkout and customer service enquiries when needed.

We are looking for amotivated and reliable Barista / Checkout Assistant to join our team and playan important role in delivering a great shopping experience from the store toour customers’ doors.

We are seeking enthusiastic and skilled Baristas / Checkout Assistants to joinour team.

This is for two full-time positions. Hours are 7am-3pm Sunday –Tuesday & 7am-3pm Wednesday-Saturday.

What we need from you:

• Excellentcustomer service skills with the ability to work independently as well aspart of a team.
• Experiencedbarista (minimum 12 months) making consistent, high-quality coffee on acommercial machine. (Full training will be provided off-site for thesuccessful candidates).
• Takingorders and processing payments efficiently and accurately on the POS
• Maintainingcabinet presentation and stock levels throughout the day
• Abilityto work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, particularly during peakservice times
• Openingand close-down of the fresh area, including any cleaning required.
• CheckoutAssistant role can include when needed; Customer Service enquires, Lotto,checkouts and stock filling (training will be provided for this part ofthe role).
• Fluentin English with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Anability to multitask and work in a fast-paced, team environment.
