Job summary

Hilton Taupo is seeking a Banquet Manager to oversee the planning and execution of banquet events, ensuring every detail is perfect. You will work closely with guests to understand their vision and bring it to life with precision and flair.

In this role you’ll lead banquet staff, control budgets, coordinate with other departments, and uphold Hilton’s high service standards. A hospitality mindset, strong leadership, and excellent communication are essential for delivering memorable experiences

Qualifications

• High school graduate with strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• At least 2 years' leadership experience in a hospitality environment, with experience as a Supervisor or Assistant Manager preferred. This role is ideal for an Assistant Manager ready to progress into a Manager position.
• Hospitality degree is advantageous.
• Strong leadership and team management
• Excellent customer service and communication
• Event planning and budget control expertise, with attention to detail and problem-solving ability
• Knowledge of safety protocols and hospitality standards

Responsibilities

• Oversee the planning, setup, and delivery of banquet events to ensure flawless execution.
• Manage and inspire banquet staff, promoting a positive and high-performing team environment.
• Liaise with clients to understand their needs and exceed event expectations.
• Ensure banquet areas meet high standards of service, cleanliness, and presentation.
• Monitor event costs, manage budgets, and maintain adequate inventory and supplies.
• Work closely with other departments to ensure smooth and coordinated event operations.
• Quickly address and resolve any issues during events to uphold guest satisfaction
