Job summary

New World Rangiora is seeking a motivated bakery assistant to join our busy team, producing and packing a full range of baked goods and maintaining high quality standards.

The role features early morning hours, Tue–Sat, 40 hours per week, with opportunities to learn and grow in a fast-paced retail bakery environment.

Key responsibilities of this position include:

• Producing and packing a full range of baked goods
• Finishing and Production of sweet goods
• Meeting store objectives in productivity, quality and presentation
• Presenting the department to a high standard, including cabinet merchandising
• Maintaining of our Health & Safety and Food Safety Standards
• Traying and cleaning

The successful candidate will have the following attributes:

• Passion for the industry
• Significant relevant experience is attractive but not required (ideally at least 1 year experience in a retail environment)
• Positive and personable attitude
• Great time management and communication skills
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment

Hours of work:

Tuesday – Saturday 40-hour full-time role, the hours of this role will be 5am – 1:30pm.
