Job summary

New World Rangiora, part of Foodstuffs South Island Limited, is seeking a dedicated bakery team member to produce and pack a full range of baked goods and support high standards of quality and presentation for customers.

The successful candidate will have a passion for the industry, good time management and strong communication skills, and be able to work in a fast‑paced environment. This is a full‑time role with rotating early hours.

Key responsibilities of this position include:

• Producing and packing a full range of baked goods
• Finishing and Production of sweet goods
• Meeting store objectives in productivity, quality and presentation
• Presenting the department to a high standard, including cabinet merchandising
• Maintaining of our Health & Safety and Food Safety Standards
• Traying and cleaning

The successful candidate will have the following attributes:

• Passion for the industry
• Significant relevant experience is attractive but not required
• Ideally at least 1 year experience in a retail environment
• Positive and personable attitude
• Great time management and communication skills
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment

Hours of work:

Sunday - Thursday 40-hour full-time role, the hours of this role will be 5am - 1:30pm.
