Job summary

New World Rangiora is seeking a bakery assistant who is hungry for change or to reignite a passion for baking. You will join an experienced, motivated team that bakes to a high standard and delivers quality products to our customers.

The role involves producing and packing a full range of baked goods, finishing sweet goods, and maintaining Health & Safety and Food Safety standards in a fast-paced retail bakery environment. Hours are Tuesday–Saturday, 40 hours weekly, 5am–1:30pm.

Qualifications

• Passion for baking and high quality standards.
• Ideally 1 year experience in a retail environment.
• Positive attitude and good time management.
• Able to thrive in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

• Producing and packing a full range of baked goods
• Finishing and Production of sweet goods
• Meeting store objectives in productivity, quality and presentation
• Presenting the department to a high standard, including cabinet merchandising
• Maintaining of our Health & Safety and Food Safety Standards
• Traying and cleaning
