Job summary

Comspek International seeks an experienced Azure Engineering Lead to provide hands-on technical leadership across cloud engineering, DevOps, platform engineering, automation, and modern software delivery practices.

You will help establish engineering standards, improve the developer experience, drive CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation, and create reusable cloud patterns to support long-term capability. Hybrid Wellington contract.

Qualifications

Strong Azure cloud engineering experience across hosting, networking, compute, and environment design.
Proven expertise in DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, and release engineering.
Experience with GitHub, GitHub Copilot and/or Azure DevOps.
Ability to define and implement engineering standards, tooling, and reusable patterns.
Track record leading engineering initiatives across multiple teams in complex enterprise environments.
Strong communication skills and a delivery-focused approach.

Responsibilities

Provide hands-on technical leadership across cloud engineering (Azure), DevOps, platform engineering, automation, and delivery practices.
Establish engineering standards and tooling to support scalable patterns and reusable components.
Drive CI/CD, deployment automation, and improve developer experience.
Mentor teams and balance strategic direction with hands-on delivery across multiple stakeholders.
