Job summary

The Department of Internal Affairs is seeking a DevOps Engineer to lead Azure platform engineering for the CCMS platform in Wellington. You will design and implement Azure-based solutions, automation, and reliable cloud services, while guiding automation projects and developing scalable CI/CD pipelines.

You will collaborate with stakeholders across government teams, bring a continuous improvement mindset, and mentor others to raise technical excellence and resilience across enterprise

Qualifications

Strong Azure platform engineering experience, including automation, CI/CD, and infrastructure as code.
Experience delivering secure, reliable, and highly integrated cloud solutions.
Collaborate with stakeholders, vendors, and multidisciplinary teams to deliver outcomes.
Continuous improvement mindset with problem‑solving and mentoring.

Responsibilities

Lead the delivery of Azure platform engineering for the CCMS platform.
Design and build Azure-based solutions and CI/CD pipelines.
Implement infrastructure as code and improve observability and monitoring.
