Job summary

One New Zealand is seeking a Tech Lead – AWS Integration Services to provide technical leadership, architecture guidance and delivery oversight for cloud-native integration solutions on AWS. You will lead the design, development, deployment and support of APIs, event-driven services and workflow orchestration platforms.

You will mentor teams, define integration standards, and ensure secure, scalable delivery aligned with enterprise architecture.

Qualifications

• 8+ years’ experience in Integration, API Management and Enterprise Application Integration.
• Experience designing AI-enabled integration solutions on AWS using services such as Bedrock, Lambda, API Gateway, EventBridge, Step Functions, and vector databases.
• Proficiency in Python and Go, with at least three years’ experience in Go.
• Proven experience providing technical leadership across teams and large-scale integration initiatives.
• Experience with Event-Driven Architecture, Microservices, Serverless platforms, CI/CD, Terraform, Infrastructure as Code and DevOps practices.
• Strong understanding of enterprise integration governance, standards and API lifecycle management.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and implementation of AWS-based integration solutions and domain services.
• Define integration architectures, patterns, standards and reusable frameworks.
• Review solution designs for alignment with enterprise architecture and integration principles.
• Provide technical direction for complex integration initiatives and project deliveries.
• Ensure solutions are scalable, resilient, secure and compliant with governance standards.
• Mentor engineers on AWS technologies and integration best practices.
• Drive knowledge sharing and engineering excellence across the integration community.
