Job summary

The Civil Aviation Authority of NZ is seeking an Aviation Safety Coordinator to support regulatory processes including issuing, renewing, and amending aviation documents in Wellington. You will manage records, perform quality checks, and coordinate tasks with internal teams and external stakeholders to drive efficient operations.

Ideal candidates will bring administration or coordination experience, strong organisational skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Experience in administration or coordination roles, with preference for backgrounds in regulatory, public sector, or compliance-driven settings.
• Excellent organisational and time-management skills with strong attention to detail.
• High proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.

Responsibilities

• Manage aircraft registration applications, amendments and related activities
• Coordinate documentation and information to support aviation certification processes
• Act as a key point of contact for aviation participants and aircraft owners
• Provide accurate advice and administrative support across aviation safety functions
• Maintain high-quality records and information management practices
• Complete quality assurance checks to support accurate regulatory decisions
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and more efficient ways of working
• Contribute to cross-functional projects and wider organisational priorities
