Job summary

SYOS in Mount Maunganui, New Zealand, is seeking a Junior Project Manager to bring structure to complexity and own projects from planning through to delivery. This hands-on role works closely with engineers, production, supply chain and operations, ensuring milestones are met and documentation is maintained.

The ideal candidate has up to around 3 years’ experience in project coordination, strong organisation, and clear communication across technical and non-technical teams.

Qualifications

• Up to around 3 years' experience in project coordination, engineering, or similar.
• Highly organized with strong attention to next steps and deadlines.
• Excellent communication with both technical and non-technical teams.
• Comfortable with budgets, numbers and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Own and coordinate engineering work packages, schedules, milestones and deliverables.
• Track actions, decisions, risks, issues and dependencies to keep projects moving.
• Coordinate design reviews, prototype builds, testing and handovers.
• Build and maintain project plans, schedules, resource forecasts and cost trackers.
• Run project meetings and follow up on actions.
• Collaborate across engineering, production, supply chain, and operations.
• Support scope control, procurement and supplier coordination.
• Track budgets and forecasts, escalate issues early.
• Coordinate field testing, demonstrations and supplier visits.
• Maintain clear documentation and configuration records.
• Support risk, quality and lessons‑learned activities.
