Job summary

Jora New Zealand is seeking an automotive technician for a reputable franchise dealership workshop. The role focuses on repairs, servicing, diagnostics, and maintenance of light passenger vehicles, reporting to the Workshop Foreman and Service Manager.

Qualifications

• Requires an automotive trade qualification and proven experience with passenger cars.

Responsibilities

• Repair, service, diagnose, and maintain light passenger vehicles.
• Report to Workshop Foreman and Service Manager.
• Keep a safe, clean, and organised workshop environment.
• Follow all health and safety procedures.
• Collaborate with parts, service, and sales to ensure smooth operations.

The role

This position is based within a reputable franchise dealership workshop. Your core responsibilities will include:

• Repairs, servicing, diagnostics, and maintenance on light passenger vehicles
• Reporting directly to the Workshop Foreman and Service Manager
• Maintaining a safe, clean, and well-organised workshop environment
• Following all workplace health and safety procedures
• Where required, collaborating with parts, service, and sales departments to ensure smooth and efficient workshop operations

About you

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• A relevant automotive trade qualification
• Proven experience as an automotive technician working on passenger cars in a franchise dealership environment
• Experience across multiple brands will be considered
• Advanced franchise brand training is highly advantageous
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities
• A reliable work ethic and commitment to quality workmanship
