Job summary

Farmer Autovillage in Mount Maunganui is seeking an experienced Automotive Technician, ideally with a WOF cert, to join its Service team. A modern workshop, varied work and an established dealership that invests in its people are key benefits.

The role includes servicing, diagnosing, and repairing petrol, diesel and electric vehicles, performing WOF inspections, and maintaining work to dealership standards while keeping up with new vehicle technology through ongoing training.

Qualifications

• 4+ years' automotive trade experience.
• A relevant automotive qualification or equivalent experience.
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
• A current WOF authority, or working towards gaining this.
• A current NZ driver's licence.
• Good attention to detail and pride in workmanship.
• Team-focused and positive attitude.
• Right to live and work in New Zealand.

Responsibilities

• Servicing, maintaining and repairing petrol, diesel and electric vehicles.
• Diagnosing and fault-finding mechanical and electrical issues.
• Carrying out WOF inspections.
• Completing repairs and maintenance to manufacturer and dealership standards.
• Working efficiently to meet workshop timeframes.
• Identifying additional work and communicating this through the Service team.
• Keeping accurate job cards and repair information.
• Staying up to date with new vehicle systems through ongoing training.

The Role

About You

• 4+ years' automotive trade experience
• A relevant automotive qualification or equivalent experience
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
• A current WOF authority, or ideally working towards gaining this
• A current full NZ driver licence
• Good attention to detail and pride in your workmanship
• A positive, team-focused attitude
• The existing right to live and work in New Zealand

Experience with European vehicles would be advantageous but isn't essential.
