Job summary

Automotive Employment NZ Ltd. on Auckland's North Shore is seeking an experienced Automotive Technician to join a leading franchise dealership.

You will carry out advanced diagnostics, electrical fault finding, software-related repairs and mechanical work on passenger vehicles, with opportunities for WOF inspections.

This is a full-time role in a modern workshop with quality diagnostic equipment and strong career development within a nationwide network.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in advanced diagnostics and complex fault finding.
• Strong knowledge of modern vehicle electrical systems and diagnostic platforms.
• Clear spoken and written English with strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced diagnostics and fault finding on modern vehicles.
• Carry out electrical diagnostics and software-related repairs.
• Execute mechanical work from minor to major scope while maintaining safety and quality.

The opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Automotive Technician to join a highly regarded franchise dealership on Auckland's North Shore.

Ideal for a technician who enjoys complex fault-finding and solving challenging technical issues across modern vehicle systems.

You’ll work on passenger vehicles, carrying out advanced diagnostics, electrical fault finding, software-related repairs and minor to major mechanical work. A current WOF licence is advantageous, with opportunities to conduct WOF inspections.

Requirements

• Relevant automotive trade qualification
• Proven experience in advanced diagnostics and complex fault finding
• Strong knowledge of modern vehicle electrical systems and diagnostic platforms
• Asian brand experience preferred, ideally within a franchise dealership, although experience with other brands will be considered
• High standards of technical accuracy and workmanship
• Current WOF licence advantageous
• Clear spoken and written English with strong communication skills
• Excellent time management and the ability to meet deadlines in a busy workshop
