Job summary

Uromedtech Pte Ltd is seeking an Associate Production Engineer to serve as the technical lead for assembling and delivering precision robotic prostate biopsy systems. You will bridge R&D, manufacturing, and clinical teams to ensure every unit matches exact specifications.

You will manage production workflow, troubleshoot electromechanical issues, and drive DFM initiatives to prepare the platform for future ablation therapy, with seniority determined by MedTech experience and leadership potential.

Qualifications

  • Education: Diploma and above in Mechanical, Mechatronics, or Biomedical Engineering.
  • Experience: 1–3 years in medical device manufacturing or high-precision robotics.
  • Technical Skills: Read drawings and schematics; assemble machinery/robotic sub-assemblies; ERP and CAD inputs (SolidWorks) are a plus.
  • Mindset: Quality-First attitude in a fast-paced startup environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Assembly: hands-on assembly of robotic positioning systems and associated hardware.
  • Create and refine Work Instructions (WI) and SOPs for consistent builds.
  • Troubleshoot hardware/software issues during builds with R&D support.
  • DFM/DFS: translate assembly challenges into ECRs to improve manufacturability and serviceability.
  • Tooling and jigs: provide inputs for calibration tools to improve efficiency and accuracy.
  • V&V Support: assist with verification and validation activities for hardware upgrades.
  • Production Planning and BOM: liaise with vendors and coordinate schedules for timely delivery to clinical sites.
  • Manage ERP records and ERP integration with BOM and inbound/outbound inventory.
  • Oversee packaging and logistics for compliant medical device shipment.
  • DHR/NCR: own Device History Record completion; investigate NCRs and drive corrective actions.
  • Maintain ISO 13485/FDA QSR-compliant, 5S production environment.
