Job summary

Wellumio Limited is seeking an Engineering Technician to provide hands‑on support for prototype assembly, test and lab operations. You will work with engineers on the Axana device, building prototypes, running tests, and keeping the lab organized as the team moves toward clinical device build.

Ideal candidates have a NZ Diploma or Bachelors in related fields, 0–2 years in hardware environments, and strong accuracy in records and test procedures.

Qualifications

• NZ Diploma Level 5/6 or 3-yearBachelor’s in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Physics or equivalent practical training.
• 0–2 years hands-on experience in hardware engineering, electronics production, or instrumentation.
• Demonstrated accuracy in assembly, test execution, and record-keeping.
• Experience with standard laboratory test equipment.

Responsibilities

• Prototype build & assembly of electronic and mechanical sub-assemblies under engineering direction.
• Warehousing & inventory: receive, inspect, record parts and test histories.
• Test & measurement: set up test equipment, execute procedures and record results.
• Lab operations & inventory: maintain calibration schedules and consumables.
• Production support: assist with scaling from R&D prototype to NPI production.
• Safety & housekeeping: maintain safe, organised lab and follow procedures.
