Job summary

Datacom is seeking an Associate PI Specialist in Auckland to assist with PAYE Intermediary and Pay Early trust accounts and Payday Filing processes. You will ensure accurate payroll data, reconcile transactions, and support client onboarding while maintaining compliance with IRD requirements.

Working under supervision, you will handle registrations, account linking, and balance reconciliation, contributing to continuous improvement and timely processing of payroll-related transactions.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the administration and reconciliation of the PAYE Intermediary and Pay Early Trust Accounts.
  • Process client registrations, account linking and onboarding activities.
  • Manage manual and automated payments through trust accounts.
  • Track, verify and reconcile transactions to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Prepare, balance and reconcile tax information relating to PAYE Intermediary services and Pay Early transactions.
  • Monitor data flowing between payroll systems and IRD to ensure accuracy and currency.
  • Support Payday Filing processes and assist in resolving filing discrepancies.
  • Communicate with clients to resolve enquiries and issues relating to trust account transactions and payroll tax processing.
  • Liaise with IRD to investigate and resolve data or transaction-related issues.
  • Maintain accurate records and follow established compliance and operational procedures.
  • Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.

About the Role

As an Associate PI Specialist, you will support the administration of the PAYE Intermediary Trust Account, Pay Early Trust Account, and Payday Filing processes with Inland Revenue (IRD). Working under close supervision, you will be responsible for processing transactions, maintaining accurate records, reconciling trust accounts, and assisting clients with queries relating to PAYE and Pay Early services.

You will play an important role in ensuring payroll data and financial transactions are processed accurately, compliantly, and in a timely manner.
