Qualifications

• A passion for wine.
• Solid leadership and training skills.
• Staff supervision experience.
• The ability to communicate effectively (in English).
• At least 3 vintages’ working experience with cool climate grape varieties.
• Experience with winemaking record keeping systems.
• A sense of humour.
• A strong safety focus.
• Tertiary qualification in Winemaking.
• Practical skills working with winery machinery.
• Tasting experience and curiosity.
• Excellent skills in baking small treats, savouries, croissants, pastries, slices, cakes etc.
• Forklift licence.

Responsibilities

• Assist with a broad range of winemaking duties from fruit reception through to preparation for bottling.
• Dive hands-on into all aspects of winemaking and producing premium Marlborough wines.
• Work on the estate in Blenheim and supervise a shift of young professionals during the harvest.
• Maintain strict quality standards and contribute to overall wine styles.
• Collaborate with a close-knit team and ensure safety and efficiency.
