Job summary

Huia is a Marlborough winery seeking a motivated, multi-skilled and hardworking person to support maintenance tasks and keep our Home Block looking sharp. This is a permanent, 40-hour-per-week role that can flex for seasonal peaks.

You’ll work hands-on across vineyard, horticultural and winery operations, using and maintaining vineyard equipment. Experience with biodynamic and organic grape growing and/or wine production is preferred.

Huia has been making Marlborough wines with a unique and elegant character on a small scale since 1997. We’re seeking a motivated, multi-skilled and hardworking person to support us with maintenance tasks and keeping our Home Block looking sharp.

We’re seeking a hands-on person who thrives working in multiple operations. Experience in using and maintaining vineyard, horticultural or agricultural equipment is the main expertise we’re seeking for this varied role. The successful candidate will need to be multi-skilled and enjoy working in a varied role, that includes many aspects of looking after a small vineyard and winery.

You’ll be rewarded with the satisfaction of using existing skills and learning new skills working with our small team making some of the most exciting wines in Marlborough.

This is a permanent position. This may be a 40-hour a week job for much of the year. The flexibility to work more hours in seasonal peaks and sometimes less hours in winter would be useful.
