Arc'teryx in New Zealand is opening its first South Island store in Queenstown, a landmark Alpha Store and a destination for outdoor enthusiasts. You will help bring this flagship to life and shape Arc'teryx's presence in the Auckland community.

As Assistant Store Manager, you’ll partner with the Store Manager to build an exceptional team, deliver unmatched guest experiences, and drive operational excellence while growing the brand in New Zealand and beyond.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of leadership experience in a retail environment.
• Growth mindset with entrepreneurial spirit.
• Passion for the outdoors and the gear that enables adventure.
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative leadership style.
• Commercial mindset with the ability to think strategically and act decisively.

Responsibilities

• Supporting and inspiring your team to deliver exceptional guest experiences and achieve sales goals.
• Driving a culture of accountability, development, and high performance.
• Championing visual merchandising, product education, and sell-through strategies.
• Leading by example and stepping in wherever needed, from the stockroom to the sales floor.
• Building meaningful community connections and bringing the Arc'teryx brand to life.
• Partnering with the Store Manager on recruitment, onboarding, coaching, and team development.
• Supporting operational excellence, including labour planning, inventory management, and store standards.
