Makana Marlborough Limited in Blenheim is seeking an experienced Assistant Retail Manager to lead daily store operations, mentor staff, and ensure a world-class shopping experience.

Open 7 days, 9:00-17:30, permanent roles with a 5-day pattern including a weekend. Salary is negotiable based on experience; excellent terms include subsidised health insurance.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service in a retail environment.

Join our established team at Makana’s exceptional Boutique Chocolate Factory in Blenheim, which is now under new ownership.

We are seeking an experienced Retailer (or customer oriented super stars with relevant transferable skills) to join our team as Assistant Retail Manager. The successful applicant will work closely with the Retail Manager and the rest of the Makana team.

Makana Boutique Chocolate factory is a unique retail experience, and we make all our confections on the premises. We are open 7 days a week from 9.00am to 5.30pm for in store sales and online order processing.

This role will suit applicants who are passionate about customer service, are willing and able to share their knowledge and experience and go that extra mile for the business and their team.

The positions are permanent, ideally 5 days per week and the work pattern will include either a Saturday or a Sunday each week. We would consider Permanent Part Time Sunday to Tuesday

Great pay rates depending on level of experience and responsibilities. Excellent terms and conditions including fully subsidised Health Insurance.

Applicants – will need the following:

• The desire to take on the challenge of providing customers with a world-class shopping experience
• Relevant retail/sales experience, preferably at management level.
• Previous experience in a fast paced/ high volume retail (or equivalent) environment
• Time management and planning skills
• High standards of personal presentation
• Strong IT and Microsoft Office skills
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Experience in a high-volume online order fulfilment environment
• Exemplary interpersonal and customer service skills
