Job summary

Postie is seeking an experienced Operations Manager 2IC to support the day-to-day operations of our online fulfilment and distribution centre in Hunua, Papakura. You will lead teams, drive performance, and ensure exceptional customer outcomes from a fast-paced hub.

This role suits a strong people leader who can step up and run the operation in the manager's absence, maintaining productivity, accuracy and safety across the site.

Qualifications

• Previous leadership experience within warehouse, logistics, fulfilment, retail operations or a similar environment.
• Strong people leadership and coaching capability.
• The ability to make sound decisions and solve problems in a fast-moving environment.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• A customer-first mindset and commitment to operational excellence.
• Confidence working independently and taking ownership of results.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and support operational team members and Team Leaders.
• Help drive a positive, productive and accountable team culture.
• Oversee daily warehouse and fulfilment operations to ensure productivity, accuracy and service standards are achieved.
• Monitor operational KPIs and implement solutions when targets are at risk.
• Support inventory accuracy and help maintain key business targets, including Partial Cancellation performance.
• Partner with Customer Service to ensure customers receive a great experience.
• Promote a safe workplace and ensure compliance with Health & Safety requirements.
• Take ownership of the operation in the absence of the Operations Manager.

What you'll do

Minimum 40 hours per week

Availability to work at least one weekend day each week

Additional flexibility during peak trading periods may be required
