Job summary

KPMG New Zealand in Wellington is seeking a Manager or Assistant Manager to join the Private Enterprise - Delivery & Data Excellence (DDX) team. You will own delivery of complex enterprise technical accounting services, working with a broad client base and accelerating learning and development opportunities.

You will mentor junior members, review financial statements, and contribute to high-performance culture while expanding client relationships and ensuring timely, accurate deliverables.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of relevant professional accounting compliance experience.
• CA ANZ or CPA membership or equivalent.
• Proficient with MS Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint.
• Strong client-facing and mentoring capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Review of annual financial statements for junior team members, providing feedback and ensuring compliance with relevant accounting and taxation standards.
• Involvement in the preparation of some of our more complex group engagements, if required.
• Assist junior team members to prioritise work effectively to ensure timely completion of deliverables.
• Contribute to our high-performance team culture with an innovative approach to the delivery of our technical accounting work.
• Provide coaching and mentoring to the team and identify any development or training needs.
• Recognize business development opportunities and be able to build key business relationships.
