Job summary

The Griffin's Food Company in Auckland is seeking an exceptional Assistant Brand Manager to fuel our growth. Based at our Ellerslie head office, this full-time role requires regular travel to our South Auckland manufacturing site to build strong cross-functional relationships and deliver the brand’s annual plan.

You’ll lead NPD projects, support social media activations, and collaborate on marketing campaigns across channels.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business or related field.
• 2+ years marketing experience (or Category or Sales).
• Social media and brand activation experience advantageous.
• Strong analytical skills for data-driven decisions.
• Proven project management experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Excellent organisational skills.
• Creative, proactive and collaborative.
• Proficient with MS Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing and implementing brand strategies and marketing plans.
• Lead cross-functional NPD projects for locally made products.
• Support Griffin’s social media strategy and execute the social plan.
• Manage sampling activity and brand activation partnerships.

Reporting to the Senior Brand Manager – Griffin's branded and Huntley and Palmers, this full-time role is based at our Ellerslie head office, with regular travel to our South Auckland (Papakura) manufacturing site to build strong cross-functional relationships.

This role will play an exciting and important role in assisting on delivering the brand’s annual plan, covering all elements of the marketing mix. This role requires a creative thinker with strong analytical skills and a passion for all things marketing.

You’ll thrive leading and supporting a mix of NPD projects, brand activations and execution of the Griffin’s social media programme.

What you’ll be responsible for:

• Assisting in the development and implementation of brand strategies and marketing plans
• Leading cross functional NPD project teams in the development of locally made new products ensuring excellence in execution laddering back to strategic objectives
• Supporting Griffin’s social media strategy and lead the execution of the social media plan
• Managing and co-ordinating sampling activity and brand activation partnerships
• Supporting the creation and execution of marketing campaigns across various channels
• Monitoring and reporting on brand performance metrics, providing insights and recommendations for improvement
• Coordinating with external agencies to execute marketing initiatives

What you’ll bring to the role:

• Bachelor’s degree majoring in Marketing, Business or a related field
• 2+ years of experience in Marketing is ideal (or Category or Sales experience)
• Social media experience, community management, brand activation/sampling experience advantageous
• Analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions
• Proven experience in project management will be of advantage.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent organisational skills
• Creative mindset with the ability to think outside the box
• Excellent team player with the confidence to take ownership of key projects
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
• Great communication skills with various audiences
• A proactive approach, with a can-do attitude
