Job summary

The Griffin's Food Company in Oamaru is seeking a part-time Merchandiser for store visits to ensure products are front and center, shelves stocked, and prices right. This role focuses on promoting our Griffin’s Snacks in New World Waitaki, New World South and Woolworths Oamaru.

You’ll unload pallets, restock, follow planograms, build displays, and engage with store teams. Part-time, guaranteed 3 hours per week with potential extra hours.

Qualifications

• Previous merchandising experience isn’t required but would be an extra tick.
• Own car and full driver’s license required.
• Reliable and punctual with a professional approach.
• Good communication and relationship-building skills.
• Willingness to work a 3-hour weekly shift with potential extra hours.

Responsibilities

• Unload pallets and restock shelves, including lifting up to 20 kg.
• Check pricing and best-before dates, rotate stock and follow planograms.
• Build promotional displays and ensure products are easy to reach.
• Develop strong relationships with store teams and provide feedback to leaders.

We’re looking foraPart Time Merchandiser working aguaranteed 3 hours per week(with the opportunity to pick up additional hours in a range of areas including sampling, relays, covering leave and peak season support)

Reporting to the Territory Manager, the successful candidates will be a brand ambassador in stores and will play a key role within our Sales team – ensuring that our much-loved products are looking amazing on shelf and are in easy reach, so our customers can purchase and enjoy their favourite snacks all year round!

Locations and hours: 3 hours (Store: New World Waitaki, New World South, Woolworths Oamaru)

• Sunday: 6pm-9:30pm (including travel time)

What you’ll be responsible for?

• Unloading pallets and restocking shelves (this could involve lifting boxes of up to 20kg and working at heights)
• Checking pricing and best before dates, rotating and moving stock as needed
• Following plans/planograms to ensure all product is laid out as per guidelines
• Building promotional displays
• Creating strong working relationships in store
• Providing feedback from a store level and sharing new ideas/suggestions with your leader

What you’ll bring to the role?

• Previous merchandising experience isn’t required but would be an extra tick!
• Your own car andfulldriver's license (that will allow you to legally drive at the times needed to get to/from your shifts)
• Accountability, honesty and reliability - if you say you will be there you'll be there and can be trusted to work autonomously
• Excellent communication and relationship building skills
• Attention to detail – you like to get things right the first time and always double check your work
• Willingness to roll up your sleeves and make it happen
• Passion and interest in our company and products – you’ve been known to enjoy a good snack!
• Positivity and a solutions-focused approach – nothing is ever a problem
