Job summary

Environment Southland in Invercargill is seeking an Asset Analyst to maintain high-quality asset data, deliver analysis and insights, and support asset management systems and reporting.

You will ensure data accuracy across datasets, identify trends and risks, and contribute to planning and reporting to support decisions and operational delivery.

A relevant qualification and 2–3 years’ experience are desirable; proficiency in Excel and data handling is expected; driver’s license preferred.

Qualifications

• Relevant qualification in engineering, asset management, planning, environmental science, or related field.
• 2–3 years in asset management, infrastructure, planning, or related environment desirable.
• Familiarity with asset data handling and management systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate, complete asset data across systems and datasets.
• Apply analytical skills to identify trends, risks, and performance insights.
• Support planning through timely data and analysis for LTP and Annual Plan.
• Provide data for work programmes, schedules, and reporting.
• Support audits, compliance, and data quality initiatives.
• Collaborate with other teams to align data with planning and operations.
