Job summary

Franklin Smith is seeking experienced Asphalt Plant Operators in New Zealand to join construction projects across Canterbury. You will operate asphalt plants, work with a foreman and crew, and ensure safety and efficiency on site.

Candidates must be a NZ citizen/resident with at least 3 years of Asphalt Plant Operation experience and hold a Class 2 driver license. Role offers 30–70 hours per week, with weekend shifts and regional travel possible.

Qualifications

• NZ citizen or resident and at least 3 years full-time Asphalt Plant Operation work experience.
• A valid Class 2 driver license.

Responsibilities

• Operate asphalt plant equipment and pavers to meet specifications.
• Coordinate with foreman and crew to ensure safety, quality and schedule.
• Carry out pre-start checks and basic maintenance on equipment.
• Support on-site duties including manual tasks and material handling.
