Franklin Smith Group is seeking multiple experienced Asphalt Plant Operators in Blenheim, South Island. You will operate asphalt plant equipment, ensuring proper setup, material flow, and compaction.

The role requires a Class 2 license, a strong work ethic, and references, with potential regional travel across New Zealand. The position offers ongoing hours (30–70 per week) at an hourly rate of $28.00–$35.00, with shifts Monday through Friday and some weekend work.

Qualifications

• NZ citizen or resident is required.
• At least 3 years full-time Asphalt Plant Operation experience.
• Class 2 driver license required.

Responsibilities

• Operate asphalt plant equipment and pavers, ensuring correct setup and material flow.
• Assist with pre-start checks and routine maintenance.
• Coordinate with foreman and crew to maintain safety and schedules.
• Carry out site duties including manual tasks and basic shovelling when required.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient worksite.
• Be prepared to travel to different NZ regions for projects.
