Job summary

Fulton Hogan's Auckland asphalt team is seeking a Plant Operator to support the Drury plant. This hands-on role involves running the plant, operating loader equipment, and ensuring production meets safety and quality standards.

You will start up and shut down the plant, monitor temperatures and mix settings, manage stockpiles and materials, and work closely with drivers to keep production moving smoothly.

Qualifications

• Full Class 1 licence required; Class 2 preferred.
• WTR endorsement ideal but not essential.
• Experience with civil asphalt, bitumen or aggregate operations.
• First Aid certificate preferred.
• Safety-focused, reliable hands-on approach.

Responsibilities

• Operate the asphalt plant and loader safely, efficiently and to production requirements.
• Monitor plant performance, mix settings and product quality to meet specs.
• Complete pre-starts, routine inspections, shutdown checks and daily records.
• Manage raw material movements, stockpiles and plant feed for smooth production.
• Maintain site housekeeping and environmental controls.
