Job summary

Fulton Hogan in Auckland is seeking a hands-on Plant Operator for our asphalt production team. You’ll help run the plant, operate the loader and keep production moving safely and to specification.

You’ll start up and shut down the plant, monitor temperatures and mix settings, manage stockpiles and assist with material blending to meet quality requirements. A safety-focused, reliable approach is essential.

Qualifications

• A Full Class 1 licence at minimum; Class 2 preferred.
• WTR endorsement ideal but not essential.
• Experience in civil asphalt, bitumen or aggregate operations.
• First Aid certificate preferred, though not essential.
• Safety-focused and reliable hands-on approach.

Responsibilities

• Operate the asphalt plant and loader safely, efficiently and to spec.
• Monitor plant performance, mix settings and product quality.
• Complete pre-starts, routine inspections, shutdown checks and daily production records.
• Manage raw material movements, stockpiles and plant feed.
• Maintain site housekeeping and environmental controls; assist fault identification and maintenance.
